RETRO-GRADE

My aim in creating the jacket was to combine the contemporary feel of batik fabrics with the bolder vintage prints to honor my hero Lois Erikson. I chose her daughter Diane's pattern I-Ching to bridge the past and present by re-use old buttons with new fabric and combining traditional (Shikoku stitching) and the more contemporary feel of twin needle grid work.
