I liked the idea of multiple fabrics and honoring the Hoffman history, but the fabrics didn't speak to me. I spent several weeks with pencil and paper working on an idea. I tried out idea of poker cards, but didn't like it. Maybe a lady in a dress-didn't like it. Countless traditional blocks and designs failed to inspire me. Finally, I doodled 2 saber tooth tiger teeth and thought maybe. When I came back to the design later, elephant tusks appeared and the design came together quickly. Three challenge fabrics are in the tusks and 3 in the trunks.
